NESLi2 for Subscription Agents

JISC Collections is aware of the preference of most libraries to use the services of Subscription Agents to order their journals and of the electronic gateway services provided by the agents and other intermediaries. Discussions with publishers will include their policy on ordering and accessing their content via agents and intermediaries and this will be communicated to the library community when deals are announced. At the same time as deals are communicated to libraries via the closed e-mail list, the Association of Subscription Agents and Intermediaries (ASA) will also be informed. The ASA (visit http://www.subscription-agents.org) will be responsible for communicating publishers' agreements to its members.

JISC Collections will not be discussing agents' commission or any other commercial arrangements between agents and publishers during its meetings.
